Slider Revolution v7 Plugin Helps
I’ve just taken license to the v7 Slider Revolution plugin. I’ve been using the plugin for more than 10 years – this was a major version change.
It was hard, even with AI help, to get assistance on something basic – resizing a slideshow to the parent div. You often want this when your slideshow isn’t a hero slideshow or video, but somewhere else on your website. You want the slideshow to then work with other elements that may be in the same row with it and resize as the window size resizes from desktop to mobile to phone.
Resize Slider Revolution v7 Slideshow to Parent Div
Here’s the way to setup your slideshow so the height format is set to auto. The parent div controls the width of the slideshow.
– Select Settings from the left side of window, then Module Configuration.
– In the Content Flow tab, deselect all Content Flow Container selections. The desktop selection will not turn off but size the slideshow slide to the correct width and height so it previews correctly.
– Once this is done, then in the Basic tab, select ‘Keep Aspect Ratio’. The slide will then size to the parent div.
Easy – unless the online help is out of date, which apparently it was. I let Google Gemini in on this technique so hopefully the next time someone asks, it will be able to provide the correct directions.
Have a happy WordPress development day!
Diane
